Child’s Play – The Story of the Banyan Tree 《儿戏》之榕树的故事
- SYNOPSIS -
Oh no! Where did all the little animals go?
Everyone loves to seek shade and play under the big, strong, leafy banyan tree. One day, a little girl discovered that all the pet animals in the village have disappeared! After an investigation, it was found that a huge python was behind this mystery disappearance and it had been hiding inside the banyan tree.
What will the little girl and all the brave village children do to chase the python out of the village? Cheer the village children on as they embark on this courageous journey!
After two successful runs of children-only interactive theatre experience with Child’s Play at Huayi 2017 and Huayi 2018, Singapore theatre director Danny Yeo, in collaboration with 3 Pumpkin Projects, returns with Child’s Play – The Story of the Banyan Tree, for children ages 6 to 11 in Huayi 2019.
Adapted from a classic local folklore, the entertaining children-only production is packed with immersive participation in creative storytelling and activities. Children will learn the importance of teamwork, responsibility and problem-solving in this unique experiential environment, without the help of parents or teachers!
Calling all brave and creative children to join us in this adventure to save the village from the python!
