The National Arts Council is pleased to invite your school to submit your students’ artwork for a chance to represent Singapore at the Japan International High School Arts Festival, an annual event sponsored by the Japan International Foundation for Arts and Culture.

Held in Tokyo, Japan, from 8th to 9th August 2018, the festival is designed for students aged 15-18, to showcase their creative talent on a global platform. Each year, approximately 400 artworks are selected from over 11,000 student entries across the globe and exhibited at the National Art Center in Tokyo, one of the Japan’s most highly regarded galleries.

The National Arts Council is the national coordinating body for the festival. From the entries received, five artworks will be selected to represent Singapore at the showcase. In addition, the student with the highest-rated artwork will be invited to participate in the festival and awards ceremony in Tokyo on 9th August 2018, as part of a cultural exchange with young artists from other countries.

Please refer to the guidelines for submission below. All artwork must reach us by Wednesday, 2 March 2018, 3 p.m. to be considered for selection.
