- OUTLINE -

Presented by yIN Harmony, the fusion music ensemble will bring students through a bird’s journey where they will be exposed to the various bird related music and be able to be part of the performance as the bird goes through a journey of self-discovery in this world.
Through this fusion music performance, students will be introduced to the various traditional instruments and also how music can express the diversity of nature and birds in particular. We also hope that through the wonders of music, that students will cultivate an appreciation to our mother nature and nurture our part to play in conserving our environment.

- LEARNING OBJECTIVES -

1. To understand and appreciate the different local ecthinic traditional musical instruments
2. To cultivate the awareness of nature through music and also adopt a better understanding towards the importance of birds to our nature
3. To relate traditional music instruments and folk music through newly arranged music.
4. To send a message about how we can play our part in conserving the environment and protect the nature’s beauty

- COST -

$2100 inclusive of 500 mini flutes for participation in performance

Schools may use the Tote Board Arts Grant to subsidise the programme cost. There is a subsidy of up to 50% of the programme cost for mainstream schools, and up to 70% of the programme cost for Special Education Schools.
The Tote Board Arts Grant is not applicable to pre-schools. NAC partners selected pre-school centres to receive funding to purchase Pre-School AEP.

The following programme is approved under NAC-AEP 2019-2021 until 31 December 2021.
