NAC-AEP Programme Details

Literary Arts

Programme ID: AEP0418826

We offer LIVE online storytelling sessions.
Check with us for other digital options.

This storytelling performance programme is adaptable to suit different audience sizes. A session can accommodate anything from a single class to a full assembly. Please note that these performances work best with audiences of the same age group with a one-two year age gap.

Each programme will be specially tailored to the size and age of the audience. A variety of stories will be told, some traditional, some modern, some using props or audience participation, others using only the magic of the storyteller's voice to draw the students into the world of story.

Stories from Asia and beyond will be used to promote understanding of other cultures and an awareness of the similarities between the peoples of the world.

Performances can be themed for CCE and good moral values as well as occasions such as Total Defence Day, International Friendship Day, Racial Harmony Day, National Day, Local Festivals and other school celebrations such as Book Week.

Asian Storytelling Network, Singapore’s first professional storytelling company, has a pool of skilled artiste educators who have been successfully engaging students and teachers in schools since 2002.

• To engage the students' imagination and kindle creativity through the oral tradition of storytelling.
