Provide blended learning option with a mixture of synchronous and asynchronous modes of delivery The Creative movement - (Come Journey with Me! - The World Around Us) course is an introduction to the fundamental exploration of body movement and creative expressions using the body. This is done through conducting interesting music & dance lessons for pupils to stir their interests in dance and enhance their body coordination and rhythm sense. Students will be able to understand and learn about the World Around Us and their culture differences through the learning of different creative cultural movements. Through the 8 weeks of training, student will learn to express themselves creatively through movements ideas drawn from the world around them (various cultures and traditional practices). They will learn to flow and move with the musical beats, helping them to improve their body rhythm and musicality. Students will also learn to work in groups for the movement sequences and have fun working together. This course aims to inspire the love for dance and music through fun, and yet educational lessons, while allowing students to gain self-confidence and aesthetic qualities with the dance showcase at the end.
- LEARNING OBJECTIVES -
This 3-fold dance program aims to introduce movements through a fun learning journey with the theme of a sea expedition: Within this Creative Movement course, students will: Creative Dance • Learn how to use movements to express, rather than words • Develop Self-awareness through basic body co-ordination sequences and explore individual creativity through movement. Ethnic Theme Dances • To increase Cultural and Social awareness and respect for the different Ethnic groups in Singapore, appreciating diversity in the world around us. Using movement to inspire appreciation of the world around us. • Cultivate Self-awareness of body coordination and rhythm to dance SEL and 21st century Competencies: • Responsible Decision making when working and making personal contributions in groups • Relationship Management when learning to relate and problem solve during group work. • Self-Management when disciplining oneself to replicate dance steps and stress management if it gets difficult.

$4.00 per Hour
1. Per Hr Rate is $120 per instructor 2. $4.0 per student per hr is based on (30 student a class). 3. Whole Program $1440 (8 sessions of 1.5hr each). 4. Do contact us for modified program cost.
Schools may use the Tote Board Arts Grant to subsidise the programme cost. There is a subsidy of up to 50% of the programme cost for mainstream schools, and up to 70% of the programme cost for Special Education Schools.
The Tote Board Arts Grant is not applicable to pre-schools. NAC partners selected pre-school centres to receive funding to purchase Pre-School AEP.
The following programme is approved under NAC-AEP 2019-2022 until 31 December 2022.
