The Film Production Experience
- OUTLINE -
This programme brings you into the vibrant world of movie production, where students learn how to break a script down before drafting out storyboards and shot lists for the movie. They will also learn to create a vision for their movie with an intended message. As movie directors, they will be trained to communicate with core team members by being a team leader and player, from working closely with actors to the various crew members. They will get to direct a short film to complete the whole programme.
- LEARNING OBJECTIVES -
To guide students towards creating a short film with a narrative structure. There will be emphasis on creativity and teamwork, which will be developed in the process as students learn the basics of filmmaking through the 3 stages of film production, namely pre-production, production and post-production. In this 20 hour programme, participants will learn: • to develop team spirit • to solve problems creatively • to enhance decision-making skills • to communicate effectively with others • to manage time efficiently • to overcome obstacles positively • to identify and develop their own individual talent

- COST -
$10 per Hour
Schools may use the Tote Board Arts Grant to subsidise the programme cost. There is a subsidy of up to 50% of the programme cost for mainstream schools, and up to 70% of the programme cost for Special Education Schools.
The Tote Board Arts Grant is not applicable to pre-schools. NAC partners selected pre-school centres to receive funding to purchase Pre-School AEP.
The following programme is approved under NAC-AEP 2017/2018 until 31 December 2018.
