Loud Mouth - The Spoken Word Show
Digital Format Available
- OUTLINE -
NEW! DIGITAL FORMAT AVAILABLE TO SCHOOLS___________________________________________The Loud Mouth Spoken Word Show presents some of Singapore’s dynamic performance poets published by Red Wheelbarrow Books under its Loud Mouth series. These spoken word artists speak intimately and stridently to communicate with a student audience about issues that concern them. The show deals with themes such as friendship and trust and references contemporary culture. We can customise these elements based on the needs of the school.
- LEARNING OBJECTIVES -
a) To show how, at its best, personal expression in the form of the spoken word can be a powerful oral medium that can inspire young people to take poetry more seriously as a literary form. b) To expose students to a range of poems. c) To demonstrate how poems can also combine with music and use choral elements to make more impact on large audiences.
