NEW! DIGITAL FORMAT AVAILABLE TO SCHOOLS___________________________________________Many folktales carry good morals that can be imparted to our young. Through songs and audience participation, the children will gain a multi-sensorial experience of the stories told and thus appreciate the sound of the language. Allow students to view the selected session through an online link to watch in the classrooms/during home-based learningOR 2. Allow students to view a 'Live' broadcast of the selected storytelling session in the classroom when the cast performs live in the school hallNote: Additional learning activities will be provided for teachers to facilitate post-show discussions._____________________
- LEARNING OBJECTIVES -
• To highlight good character values through the storytelling. • To expose children to the spoken language and thus promote the appreciation and enjoyment of the language. • To engage the auditory learning by verbal interaction with the children. • To engage the visual learning through pictures or puppets. • To engage the kinaesthetic learning through physical action and movement. • To promote emotional literacy • To encourage imagination and creativity

- COST -
Schools may use the Tote Board Arts Grant to subsidise the programme cost. There is a subsidy of up to 50% of the programme cost for mainstream schools, and up to 70% of the programme cost for Special Education Schools.
The Tote Board Arts Grant is not applicable to pre-schools. NAC partners selected pre-school centres to receive funding to purchase Pre-School AEP.
The following programme is approved under NAC-AEP 2019-2020 until 31 December 2021.
