A Photographic Journey
- OUTLINE -
A Photographic Journey is a 10-session hands-on workshop leading students on a trip down the history of photography, teaching them about the basic principles of how a camera works through making and taking photos with a pinhole camera. Students will learn how to make digital negatives and create cyanotype prints from their images. Students will also be taught about photo collages and produce a zine combining all these elements at the end of the session. Course fees include materials for pinhole camera, developing and scanning of film, cyanotype and printing of zine.
- LEARNING OBJECTIVES -
1. Students to learn about the history of photography and how it progressed as an artistic medium 2. Students to gain hands-on experience in various analogue and digital photographic processes 3. Students to learn to express themselves through photography and exhibit their creativity in making a zine at the end of the 10 sessions

4800 (Inclusive of material costs for cyanotype: ~15 per student, developing and scanning of film: ~10 per student, printing of zine materials and zine: ~10 per student)
Schools may use the Tote Board Arts Grant to subsidise the programme cost. There is a subsidy of up to 50% of the programme cost for mainstream schools, and up to 70% of the programme cost for Special Education Schools.
The Tote Board Arts Grant is not applicable to pre-schools. NAC partners selected pre-school centres to receive funding to purchase Pre-School AEP.
The following programme is approved under NAC-AEP 2017/2018 until 31 December 2018.
