Creative Communication Workshop
- OUTLINE -
The focus will be on creating an environment within the group that frees students to explore and express themselves with the least amount of inhibition. The content of drama exercises will tap on the students’ imagination, creativity and personalities, in order that the group can get to know each other better and be invested and engaged in what they are creating. Students will discover the basics in performance with the appropriate use of vocal and physical expressions, and gain an awareness of their own strengths, weaknesses and their potential as a performer.
- LEARNING OBJECTIVES -
Overall Objectives: - To nurture students’ sensitivity and awareness of the skills of a performer; - To introduce basic devising and improvisational skills to enable story creation for performance; - To introduce character development through role-play; - To encourage students’ use of imagination to free them from inhibitions so they become more spontaneous and creative; increase self-awareness of their strengths and weaknesses through communication and expression enable students to communicate more confidently and expressively as engaging performers.

Schools may use the Tote Board Arts Grant to subsidise the programme cost. There is a subsidy of up to 50% of the programme cost for mainstream schools, and up to 70% of the programme cost for Special Education Schools.
The Tote Board Arts Grant is not applicable to pre-schools. NAC partners selected pre-school centres to receive funding to purchase Pre-School AEP.
