Music & Culture: Chinese Weddings with Woodwind & Percussion Ensemble
- OUTLINE -
In this performance presentation, students will get to understand traditional Chinese weddings such as the steps involved in marriage prior to the actual marriage. Fast forward to today's context, students will understand the contrast and how the traditional procedures are being modernised and accustomed to the modern context. At the same time, musical instruments that made up the Chinese Wind and Percussion Ensemble will also be introduced to the students in this informative performing presentation. Students will get to watch and learn how these instruments are played through the demonstrations by the musician. Lastly, a secret interaction activity will also be conducted during the programme that is sure to keep students and teachers engaged!
