Blended (live interaction & pre-recorded clips) experience is available for schools upon request. Opening exercises, fun action songs and closing activities may be live streamed via Zoom or Google Meet.'Going to the Zoo: CREATE & STAGE!'Exploring the World Around Us.Level: Intermediate (recommended for N2).Theme: Zoo Animals.- Drama Time Chant- Greetings- Moving in Your Space- Physical & Vocal Warm-ups- Drama Activities- Action poems- Dramatisation of A Day at the Zoo- Goodbye SongThis is a recommended outline to be taught over 10 lessons, using one or more of the drama activities listed above in each lesson and working on rehearsals from lessons 6 to 10. It will culminate in a showcase of 5 to 10 minutes of the dramatisation of A Day at the Zoo!
- LEARNING OBJECTIVES -
A) DRAMA SKILLS 1) Develop body awareness, use of body for characterisation and spatial perception. 2) Develop awareness of different emotions and its expressions through face, body and voice. 3) Develop vocal projection, speech articulation and imitation of sounds. 4) Develop presentation skills. 5) Recite rhymes/ perform and act out stories. 6) Stage Positions - stage entrances & exits, staying in character. B) INTERPERSONAL SKILLS & AWARENESS 1) Communicate and create with others in group dramatic activities. 2) Learn awareness management skills. 3) Read social cues and practise turn taking. 4) Listen and respond to social overtures and express interest in others. C) AWARENESS OF THE WORLD AROUND 1) Develop awareness and understanding of zoo animals. 2) Develop sense of respect and care for the world around us and people's different preferences.

Schools may use the Tote Board Arts Grant to subsidise the programme cost. There is a subsidy of up to 50% of the programme cost for mainstream schools, and up to 70% of the programme cost for Special Education Schools.
The Tote Board Arts Grant is not applicable to pre-schools. NAC partners selected pre-school centres to receive funding to purchase Pre-School AEP.
The following programme is approved under NAC-AEP 2019-2021 until 31 December 2021.
