- OUTLINE -
------------------------------------------- Check with us for digital options. __________________________ There are many ways of telling stories and using objects while telling stories is one of the most enjoyable for both the teller and the audience. In this very practical workshop, students will be introduced to a number of stories that are enhanced by the use of objects. These may include: story cards, traditional string stories, drawing stories, paper folding or tearing stories and handkerchief stories. The students will have the opportunity to explore the props and practice their use. They will leave the workshop with handouts and materials that will enable them to further develop their skills in telling these types of stories. • Introduction to different styles of storytelling. • Demonstrations of storytelling with props. • Students explore the use of a variety of props. • Performance techniques. Asian Storytelling Network, Singapore’s first professional storytelling company, has a pool of skilled artiste educators who have been successfully engaging students and teachers in schools since 2002.
