Pop Up Book: Bringing Literature to Life

- OUTLINE -

Overview of Workshop

This series of workshops explores an existing story using a variety of drama tools and mediums. The students will be transported into the world of the story using their physicality and imagination to create the characters and their surroundings. They will also get the opportunity to bring the story to life from page to stage.

Course Objective

Students will be taught about story structure, plot, content, language and themes in a fully practical and lively way. This workshop provides a new way of experiencing literature texts.

By the end of the workshop, students will be able to:

LO2. Demonstrate understanding of a story through practical performance

- COST -

$7.50 to $10 per Hour

$150/trainer/hour (GST not applicable)
The school shall be responsible for any performance-based cost (e.g. costume, set and props)

Schools may use the Tote Board Arts Grant to subsidise the programme cost. There is a subsidy of up to 50% of the programme cost for mainstream schools, and up to 70% of the programme cost for Special Education Schools.
The Tote Board Arts Grant is not applicable to pre-schools. NAC partners selected pre-school centres to receive funding to purchase Pre-School AEP.

The following programme is approved under NAC-AEP 2017/2018 until 31 December 2018.
