Artist Studio Excursion
- OUTLINE -
An excursion to the artist’s studio offers an intimate glimpse of the artist, his work and process. Kamal Arts Ltd is the working studio to a group of painters with different specialities. Nestled at the Goodman Arts Centre Blk E, it is the go-to place for batik painting. However, the studio is also home to conventional painters, cartoonists, and graffiti artists. We welcome students to visit us at our studio, view artworks and materials also the works-in progress. Engage our artist in conversation about inspiration and the process of making art. Group can choose a hands-on experience in any one of the studio’s speciality. • Batik painting • Mini Batik painting (For preschool) • Graffiti Art • Caricature Drawing • Expressive Watercolor Acrylic Art Airbrush • Pastel painting Face Painting Henna Art The grounds of Goodman Arts Centre is also an interesting place for students to be inspired by murals and sculptures abound. Artists can give a guided tour and explain the works by local artist.
- LEARNING OBJECTIVES -
LO1 - During the tour, the artist will impress upon participants his mastery of the medium to inspire learning. LO2 - Artist will relate about the local art scene, in particular for the selected hands-on experience and the career path of a professional artist. LO3 - Participants to experience a hands-on activity of their choice and complete an artwork medium under the guidance of an artist.

Schools may use the Tote Board Arts Grant to subsidise the programme cost. There is a subsidy of up to 50% of the programme cost for mainstream schools, and up to 70% of the programme cost for Special Education Schools.
The Tote Board Arts Grant is not applicable to pre-schools. NAC partners selected pre-school centres to receive funding to purchase Pre-School AEP.
The following programme is approved under NAC-AEP 2019/2021 until 31 December 2021.
