Extension of the 2019-2021 NAC-AEP cycle

Extension of the 2019-2021 NAC-AEP cycle

All current programmes on the 2019-2021 cycle will be extended for an additional year, and will be part of the 2019-2022 directory. Arts providers may continue to digitalise existing programmes by submitting change requests.

Applications for the next cycle will open in the first quarter of 2022.

Resumption of Arts activities in MOE Schools and Digitalisation of NAC-Arts Education Programmes (NAC-AEP)

In MOE’s latest press release issued on 24 February 2021, it was announced that trips to view external performances will be suspended.

Artists/arts groups may continue to submit change requests to NAC via the NAC-AEP portal to include digital formats of their existing programmes. NAC also supports digital presentation of public arts programmes through the Presentation and Participation Grant, and training support needs through the Capability Development Grant.

The Esplanade is conducting a series of artist development workshops for teaching artists as part of their new children’s festival, March On. Workshops will run from 10-14 March 2021.

NAC-AEP Digital Programme Directory

NAC-AEP Digital Programme Directory

NAC has created a NAC-AEP digital programme directory to support schools and students. These programmes have been adapted for online learning, and schools will find opportunities to engage students synchronously through live streams, or asynchronously through pre-recorded material.

Digitalising Arts Education Programmes – E-learning Primer for Arts Educators

In response to the current social distancing measures and the implementation of Home-based learning for schools, some NAC-AEP providers have started exploring digital modes of engagement when delivering arts education programmes to schools.

NAC, in collaboration with the Visual and Performing Arts Group of the National Institute of Education, has developed an E-learning primer as resource to provide some ideas and considerations when digitalising arts education programmes.

NEW - In order to better support the arts community in creating online content of quality, NAC has collated some tips from various articles and videos on self-filming.

Google has set up a digital toolkit - Teach from Home to support teachers and educators during the COVID-19 crisis.

Designed from an educator’s perspective, this is an easy-to-use toolkit with all of Google’s tools (most are free) such as google docs, google forms, google hangout, google calendar etc.
